[SUBJECTS] One stocky man in his fifties with a grey beard, wearing a bright yellow raincoat, holding an old round brass compass. No one else appears.

[EVENTS] Shot 1 — extreme close-up from above: the round brass compass lies open in his palm, filling the centre of the frame; he snaps the round lid shut. CUT TO Shot 2 — the round full moon in exactly the same place and size in the frame, hanging in the night sky above a dark calm sea.

[CAMERA] Both shots locked off and centred: the round compass and the round moon sit in the same spot of the frame, so the cut reads as one shape turning into another. One hard cut, no dissolve.

[LOOK] Photoreal. Shot 1 warm lamplight on brass; Shot 2 cold silver moonlight.

[SOUND] The metallic click of the lid, then quiet waves and night wind. No music.
