Intended use: venue-mood slide image for a mysterious New Year's evening "Bal Moderne" — a private theatrical play held in a raw historic building with no decorations. A still life of details, no people. Scene: an old wide stone staircase with worn steps and a simple black iron railing inside a raw industrial building with bare plaster and exposed brick walls; at the top, a tall black-framed factory window shows a dark winter night city with tiny warm lights. On the steps, as if someone has just passed: a long black satin opera glove lying on one step, a single black feather a few steps higher, and a crimson red silk scarf trailing from the railing down the stairs. No decorations, no carpet. Camera: low angle from the bottom of the stairs, ARRI Alexa 35, Cooke S7/i 35mm, glove sharp, window slightly soft. Light: a single hard spot on the glove and lower steps is the brightest, warm red uplight on the brick walls, cold blue window, deep black shadows, light haze. Colour/finish: deep black #0B0B0C, crimson red #D3122A, antique silver, pearl. Fine film grain, crushed blacks, slight vignette. Constraints: no people, no faces, no text, no logos, no Christmas tree, no red carpet, no chandeliers, no candles, no CGI plastic look, no HDR halos.
